Across Borders & Stages

Key person for putting Pro Weekend Fest on the global map

By the Mediterranean coast in Castellón (Spain), I took on the management of Pro Weekend Fest’s Conference—an artist showcase rooted in community and discovery of new acts from the region. Drawing on over a decade of international connections, I curate a conference programme filled with voices I’ve crossed paths with over the years. People I trust to support and uplift local talent. The result? Local artists getting in front of 200+ delegates from many different markets and 3,000+ audience members finding their way to bigger stages far beyond Spain.

On the Move, a 15-year cultural mobility network

Every year, On the Move brings together cultural changemakers — from policy makers to producers — in a new country, creating deep local impact. As part of the core team, I shape the communication strategy and help weave together the event with local partners, including streaming it to all corners of the globe (in 2025, with an average of 400 online participants and 150 in-person delegates). On the Move’s collaborative process as a cultural network bridges languages, cultures and arts sectors; from music to museums. Co-funded by the EU Commission, the Forum is a reminder of how global culture thrives when people meet in person and build together beyond cultural barriers.

Rambert Plus, innovation in the performing arts

At the intersection of dance and the digital space, I lead CRM and coordinate the user acquisition strategy for Rambert Plus, Rambert’s online and first-party data platform. Working closely across campaigns on Meta, Google, and organic, I helped the platform to increase its monthly premium subscribers and connect with its fanbase much more meaningfully while strengthening brand awareness.

A key recent milestone: in 2025, Rambert became the 4th biggest improver in search visibility, with a +166% increase — a major SEO achievement that was largely driven by my work on audience strategy, journeys, and constant optimisation.

It’s been exciting to support the platform’s evolution (now with 500 paid subscribers), combining marketing, retention, and search-led growth as it continues to reach and resonate with wider arts audiences month after month.

Bernardo with Portuguese Angolan band Throes & The Shine part of Zandari Festa's 2024 export project

Portugal to Seoul: Throes & The Shine at Zandari Festa

In October 2024, I led a milestone export initiative—bringing a Portuguese alternative band to perform in South Korea for the very first time. Throes & The Shine took the stage at Zandari Festa, Seoul’s leading showcase festival, marking a powerful cultural exchange moment. Behind the scenes, I built the case for support, secured funding from the Camões Institute and the Portuguese Embassy in Seoul, and worked closely with festival organisers to make it all happen. It was more than a concert, as it was the first door opening between two music markets at an independent level rarely in dialogue.
